I was lucky to get in touch with
Mr Ben Black from
Beats Layin About the other day. He introduced me to his 7 track EP entitled The Prolusion, by
the Delusionists. New to my ears, the Devolutionists are London based duo Benjamin Black (Producer/MC) and MC DBF. Having relocated from the east coast the Lowestoft duo bring us a blend of smooth basslines, bouncing beats and storytelling lyrics. Good rhyming skills and wordplay with main focus being women. The tracks are well produced and you’ll find samples from J Dilla and Jehst tracks. I expect to hear more from these guys in the future.
