For those of you that don't know, Suite For Ma Dukes is an original orchestral work inspired by the music of J Dilla, written by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson with conceptual contributions and guidance by Carlos Niño. It was first performed in full with a 60-piece orchestra (featuring performances from Bilal, Dwele, Illa J, Talib Kweli, Maureen 'Ma Dukes' Yancey and more) as part of ArtDontSleep/Mochilla/VTech’s Timeless series in 2009. Suite For Ma Dukes became such a sterling success that in 2010 it was released as part of a limited edition DVD boxset, 'Timeless: The Composer/Arranger Series'.





To celebrate the release of 'Suite For Ma Dukes' on CD and DVD, Spin Doctor is hosting launch parties in London & Brighton with Dilla's extended family: ELZHI, PHAT KAT and DJ DEZ (Slum Village).
