Special Blends - A Night Dedicated To The Works Of MF Doom @ Plan B Brixton, 14th October 2010

SPECIAL BLENDS - A NIGHT DEDICATED TO THE WORKS OF MF DOOM
@ Plan B Brixton
10pm until late
FREE ENTRY

MF Doom aka Viktor Vaughn aka Zev Love X, heads to the UK for one of the most anticipated tours in a long while. Doom has been responsible for some of the best hip hop of the last twenty years - from the days of KMD, to Operation Doomsday and Mad Villainy (a collaboration with Madlib) via his remixes as Metal Fingers (the Special Blends series) and the King Geedorah Project for Big Dada / Ninja Tune. On Thursday 14th October he headlines a sold out gig at Brixton Academy just around the corner from us. If his performance at The Roundhouse earlier in the year is anything to go by, you will be fiending for more after the show. So, we have invited some of our favourite DJs to come play sets comprised of and/or inspired by Doom’s work.

For one night only we are up for requests, as long as you know your sh*t and only ask for Doom related product. It’s free entry all night and anyone who turns up in a Doom mask is getting a hug and maybe a free shot of something evil. Plus, we are doing cheap beers and that from 6pm if you are looking for somewhere to meet before the Brixton Academy show.

Check the hypedog Best Of MF Doom mix below if you missed it!
