DJ Primate - "The Best Tape EP"

While getting in contact with Primate last night I realized that I NEVER posted his EP that dropped a while back (My bad). But anyway the 14 year old beatsmith does a great job at recapturing the 90's vibe of hip-hop beats. I love how these kids are paying homage to the "Golded Era". "I messed around with my sound on this album and went with a more 90's Prince Paul, Zev Love X approach by using a crapload of samples and scratches. "Have You?" nearly broke my 404 when I recorded it. Although I was only alive in the 90's for four years, I've tried to capture the sound of hip-hop in it's prime." - DJ Primate
